Exemption from Payment
Due to the global, international nature of the internet what is a reasonable performance fee in one situation or country may be totally prohibitive in another. Sometimes too, in the case of many school productions, funds are tight and royalty fees difficult to pay for.
Therefore, if you are interested in staging one of my plays but you are in a situation where performance royalty payment is difficult, problematic or impossible, please let me know and I will consider a full exemption or part-exemption from fees on a case by case basis.
Please note, that the above applies to not-for-profit circumstances only. If you intend using my plays before paying audiences for profit or fund raising (other than to help cover production costs) do not apply for exemption.
Amateur theatre groups or co-operative ventures experiencing genuine financial difficulties with production costs may also apply.
Exemption considerations are for the following plays: Adventure at Whaler's Bay, Jigsaw Puzzle, Rat's, A Rat's Tale, The Shadow Boy, Grand Tour, Law of the Jungle, Two in a Room, Lamb of God, Massacre at Myall Creek.
When applying for exemption please indicate the number of performances you would like to do of the play, who will perform the play (eg students), the nature of the intended audience (eg parents) and if the audience is paying. Please add any other information you think might be relevant regarding a request for fee exemption so that we can come to a mutually agreeable position.
